Bomb Disposal Team Called to ‘Garden Shed’ in Gwersyllt

A ‘Bomb Disposal Unit’ is currently in attendance at a property in Gwersyllt.

Earlier this afternoon there were reports that North Wales Police and a Bomb Disposal Unit had been called to a property near Mold Road, Gwersyllt.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police confirmed the Bomb Disposal Unit is in attendance at a property in Gwersyllt and they were called to the scene at 12:56pm this afternoon.

The spokesperson added: “We received a call from someone reporting two shells in their garden shed which had been there for a number of years.

“They called to have someone come out and check them.”

It it thought the shells date back to 100 years and are safe.
