A body has been found in the search for missing Mold teenager Haydn Mark Evans.

The body, which has yet to be identified, was found in the lake at Carden Park.

The discovery comes two weeks after the 18 year old was reported missing after failing to return home from a Christmas works do at the Carden Park Hotel.

In a statement Cheshire Police said: “police underwater search teams discovered what appears to be a body in a lake at Carden Park near Chester”.

The statement added: “Police remain at the scene where attempts are underway to recover the body. Identification of the deceased has not yet taken place.”

Yesterday Haydn’s family spoke of their sadness at not being able to spend Christmas with him and renewed their appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.
