Body Found Near Wrexham Pub This Afternoon

A body has been discovered near a pub in Wrexham this afternoon.

Earlier today there were reports of police and forensics seen near the Hand Inn on Holt Road.

A statement released by North Wales Police says: “At approximately 12.17pm today, Tuesday 18th July 2017 North Wales Police were alerted to the discovery of a body on the ground behind The Hand Hotel in Holt Road Wrexham.

“Sadly life was pronounced extinct at the scene.

“Local officers are now making enquiries to establish identity and inform next of kin.”

At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and HM Coroner for North East Wales has been informed.
