Wrexham Council are reminding householders to check their Recycle with Michael Calendar in plenty of time for the Christmas bank holiday changes.

Collections will remain as normal with the last normal collection taking place today. Householders will then have to check their calendars for the next collection date or check onwww.wrexham.gov.uk for the information.

Please remember alternate collections of green and black (or blue) wheelie bins will continue throughout the winter. Recycling boxes and sacks will continue to be collected weekly.

Collections return to normal on Monday 13th January.

If collections are disrupted due to bad weather the Council will do everything it can to let householders know. Information will be available on our website (www.wrexham.gov.uk ), via our social media accounts or by calling Pride in Your Streets on 01978 298989.

John Bradbury, Head of Environment, said: “It’s the time of year when households generate more rubbish than usual. Missing a bin collection can be very frustrating so I would urge every household to make a note of when their bin will be collected and to ensure it is out by 7.30 am.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our residents who helped improve our recycling rates to over 52% this year.”
