Arriva announce changes to several bus services across Wrexham

Arriva Buses Wales have announced that changes will be made to several bus services across the county borough in the new year.

The changes to the following services will be introduced from Sunday 7th January 2018:

Service 1 Wrexham – Chester: Changes to timetable for journeys running between 5pm and 7pm

Service 3 Wrexham – Penycae (via Rhostyllen, Ponciau and Rhos): Minor changes to times.

Service 4 Wrexham – Penycae (via Rhostyllen, Johnstown and Rhos): Service revised to operate hourly between 6.38am to 5.38pm. The service will run via Morrison’s, Bryn Offa Estate, Bersham, Pentrebychan Crematorium, Johnstown Gutter Hill and Rhos to Penycae.

Services 26 and 27 Wrexham – Mold (via Maelor Hospital, Pendine, The Wheatsheaf, Cefnybedd, Caergwrle and Leeswood): Journeys will be re-routed back via Pendine Way.

Arriva will also be introducing a new 4A service to Wrexham, which will be operating hourly between 7.08am to 6.08pm. The service will run via Rhostyllen, Nant park Estate, Moreton Estate, Sryt Las and Rhos to Afoneitha Estate.

Clwyd South MP Susan Elan Jones, who along with Penycae Cllr John Phillips campaigned for the reintroduction of a service through the Afoneitha Estate, yesterday tweeted that the new service will “make a real difference for many people in our communities”.
