Arrest made in connection with two convenience store robberies in Wrexham

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two “knifepoint” robberies in Wrexham.

Police say officers carried out a warrant at an address in Bryn Offa today, where a man was arrested on suspicion of two robberies that took place in the city centre earlier this week.

The first was reported to have happened at around 9.30pm on Monday, January 8th at a convenience store on Ruabon Road.

The second incident at a convenience store on Norman Road was reported shortly before 9pm on Tuesday, January 9th.

Police say the man remains in custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.
