Arrest made following reports of a man with a handgun in Penycae

A man was arrested in the early hours of this morning following reports that he was seen with a handgun in the Wrexham area.

Cheshire and North Wales Alliance Armed Policing Unit say they received reports of male with a black handgun in the Penycae area.

They added that one male was arrested by alliance officers and a black air pistol was recovered.
