An appeal has been launched to trace to four men who “forced their way” into a home and disconnected the phone when the victims attempted to call for help.

Police say the incident took place at a property in Peel Street, near Bellevue Park, at around 6:10pm on Thursday 19 November.

The men claimed they were looking for an intruder before making an untidy search and running away.

One of the men also disconnected the phone when the victims tried to call 999.

Police say the offenders had Irish accents and wore dark clothes.
