Appeal launched after Johnstown burglary – police hunt ‘small dark vehicle’

Police have appealed for information, as well as issuing a wider warning after burglaries in the Wrexham area.

On Sunday 2nd February at around 6:30pm a burglary occurred at a property in the Bodhyfryd area of Johnstown, a small dark vehicle believed to be used by the offenders was seen to drive off at speed from outside the address towards Wrexham road and then turn right towards Rhostyllen/ A483.

The vehicle was being driven in an “erratic manner” when leaving the Nant Parc estate and officers are asking for anyone that may have dash cam footage or witnessed the vehicle leave the estate to make contact with Llay Burglary Unit/ PC 2264 James using crime number 20000071819 as a reference.

Police added this morning, “There have been burglaries across Wrexham which have occurred in the early evenings. If you see something or someone which raises your suspicions please report it on 101 or on the live webchat.
