An appeal has been made for the owner of a stray pig who was found near Llay over the festive period.

The young pig was found by a local dog walker in Dingle Woods near Llay. Animal Health Officers were contacted and arranged for bed and board over Christmas and New Year.

The pig has been named by officers as Tiny Tim as his plight over the Christmas period reminded them of Dickens’ Christmas Carol.

No one has yet come forward to claim Tiny Tim – if anyone has lost this pig please contact the service on 01978 292045 and speak to an Animal Health Officer.

If no one comes forward to claim him by 10 January 2014 arrangements will be made to rehome him.
