Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are appealing for information after reports of two disturbances at Wrexham General railway station.

Anyone who witnessed the incidents, which took place at about 9pm on Friday, 5 April, and about 6pm on Sunday, 7 April, is asked to come forward and contact BTP.

Investigating officer, PC Andy Chadwick, said: “In the first incident on Friday, 5 April, an altercation took place between two youths on the footbridge, which left one with minor facial injuries.

“Two days later, on Sunday, 7 April, a man threatened a member of security staff in the ticket office at the station. The member of staff was not injured but left shaken by the man’s behaviour.

“I believe that there were other passengers at the station when both incidents took place.

“I would therefore ask anyone with any information, which they believe can assist the investigation, to contact BTP in confidence.”

Anyone who can help should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

In all calls, please quote reference B7/WWA of 09/04/2013.
