Appeal After ‘High Value’ Items Stolen From Local Charity Shop

An appeal has been launched after a number of items were stolen from a local charity shop.

The Nightingale House Charity Shop on Mold Road was broken into on Good Friday.

A number of items were stolen from the building, including a laptop and Scott bike frames. Money, including charity donations was also taken.

We have been told that the office had been trashed, however the rest of the store wasn’t damaged. One person told us: “They knew what they were after.”

It is believed the thieves gained entry by smashing a window at the back of the store.

We have been told by staff that higher security measures in the store have been put into place.

A few people also contacted us yesterday regarding an ambulance outside the store. However we have been told this was due to an unrelated incident.
