A new independent opticians with over 25 years experience in the business will celebrate its grand opening tomorrow.

Gresford Eyecare Optical Centre, based on Chester Road in Gresford, is owned by Trudy Robertson and Amanda Taylor.

The new business will be taking over a long-standing vacant unit in Gresford, which in January this year was given planning permission to be converted into a hot food takeaway.

However local councillor, Andrew Atkinson said the takeaway never came to fruition.

Speaking about the new business, Trudy said: “We are dedicated to providing the optimum quality of service and eyecare tailored to your individual needs because at Gresford Eyecare your eye health matters to us.”

“Regular eye examinations can reveal visual & other health problems before they become serious. In most cases early detection increases the chances of successful treatment. Also we have a good selection of spectacle frames and sunglasses for adults and children along with supplying and fitting contact lenses.”

Cllr Atkinson said: “It’s great news for the village, not only is it another new business but it meets a need locally.

“I hope everyone will support it. The business looks fantastic, with a wide range of stock and a really welcoming team. It’s a great addition to the community.”

Members of the public are invited to pop in on Saturday 16th September between 11am and 2pm to meet the team and find out more about the new business.
