Road reopens fully – Air ambulance landed on A55 after car crash

Final update 5:45pm: The road has reopened fully.

Update 4:50pm The eastbound carriageway between A483 near Chester and the A41 near Belgrave is now fully open. One lane remains closed westbound.

The A55 to the east of the Posthouse roundabout is at a standstill this afternoon after a collision, thought to involve a single vehicle.

Police have said as of 3:15pm: “RTC – A55 near to A41 junction- The Police and other emergency services are at the scene, this road is reduced down to one lane.

“This is causing traffic delays which are anticipated to continue for at least another hour.”
