Air ambulance called to Coedpoeth

The Wales air ambulance was called to an incident in the Coedpoeth area this afternoon.

Shortly after midday there were reports that the air ambulance had been seen landing in the Adwy Lane area of Coedpoeth.

It has since been confirmed that one person was take to hospital by road ambulance.

A spokesperson for Welsh Ambulance Service said: “Were called on Wednesday 5 June at approximately 12:07 pm to reports of a person feeling unwell in Coedpoeth near Wrexham.

“We responded with two ambulances and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance.

“One patient was transported by road ambulance to Maelor General Hospital in Wrexham.”
