More recently Emz Cakes celebrated their second birthday, whilst the Lemon Tree has continued to thrive under new ownership over the last 18 months. During this time, both businesses have also struck up a good rapport – with Emz Cakes now supplying diners at the Lemon Tree with cupcakes, biscuits and other sweet treats.

He added: “Both the restaurant and our accommodation side of the business have had real success since we took over 18-months ago. Our accommodation is really benefitting from midweek corporate business from the University and of course the new prison development – but at a weekend we’re seeing more leisure guests visiting Wrexham too.

“Our restaurant team are also looking forward to next week, when we launch our new summer menu – so it’s exciting times for all of the staff here.”
