Fatal Collision On A5 Closes Road For Five Hours

The A5 by Chirk is was closed after a serious incident this morning.

Two vehicles were involved in a collision this morning just before 10am, with emergency services including the air ambulance responding.

Delays, road closed and queueing traffic around the B5070 Chirk Road / Station Road (Gledrid Roundabout). Police are directing traffic on the roundabout.

Tabitha said: “Chirk and Gobowen roundabouts road completely closed and all traffic diverted through Gobowen. Traffic is heavy and slow.”

Sara told us: “Terrible accident on A483 just past Lion Quays Hotel near Oswestry, Traffic building up one part of road closed.

Around 10am Sara also said “Air ambulance coming in to land. Avoid if possible.”
