A483 reopens after two hour full closure

The A483 has reopened after an earlier police incident.

Traffic remains busy on neighbouring routes due to the earlier closure.

Police have said: “The A483 has now reopened. We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding whilst we dealt with the incident.”

The A483 is closed from Gresford northbound and Southbound from Rossett this morning, with diversions in place on the old Wrexham Road.

Police say: “The A483 southbound junction 7 Rossett to junction 6 Gresford is completely closed due to an ongoing incident. Traffic is at a complete standstill. Please avoid the area if you intend on heading that way.

“Officers are at the scene and we thank you for your patience.”
