A northbound lane on the A483 is currently blocked due to an overturned car and trailer.

The incident took place shortly after 5pm near between J4 A525 Ruthin Road (Coedpoeth) and J5 A541 Mold Road / Summerhill Road (Gwersyllt). However the road was initially believed to be closed off due to an overturned lorry.

The road has been closed off by police just north of Sainsbury’s, resulting in long tailbacks down the bypass.

It is reported traffic has backed up to the Ruthin slip road.

North Wales Police Control Room have since tweeted to say that drivers should expect long delays.
