More than 80 independent traders and businesses will be showcasing their products at the Wrexham Artisan Market.

The quarterly event, run by Fair Event Management Ltd and supported by the Shared Prosperity Fund, will return to Queens Square and Queens Street on Saturday 30 March.

It will bring together 82 traders showcasing their talents and products – including beloved local gems and national favourites.

Amongst those trading on March 30 are O’Donnell Moonshine, Bev’s Been Baking, Chip’d, Blooming Amazing Plants & Gifts, Arty Handmade Crafts and Gifts and Draig Creations.

33 of the traders booked for the event are from Wrexham, including several city centre businesses such as AlticcioWine Store, Bank St Social, CiCi, Obhei African Market and Eyecadia.

Sammi Harris, one of the organisers behind the event told us that stores such as CiCi and Obhei African Market, which are based in Chapter Court on Queens Street, will be having stalls outside their premises in a bid to help “break down that barrier” between shop frontages and customers.

Local charity AVOW will also be at the market to coincide with the trial of its once a month Saturday opening for its Shopmobility service.

The pilot has been launched to coincide specifically with this month’s Wrexham Artisan Market.

Sammi said the move will help to make the events as accessible as possible to everyone.

The event will also feature an Easter Trail throughout the market with a chocolate egg prize at the end.

All completed entries for the trail will go into a free prize draw to win a family pass to WrexSands, which will take place between August 2 and 5.

Sammi said: “As the Wrexham Artisan Market approaches on 30 March, we are thrilled to welcome 82 traders, with 33 of them proudly representing businesses from Wrexham County.

“Amongst them, we have some amazing local city centre businesses such as Alticcio Wine Store, Bank St Social, CiCi, Obhei African Market, and Eyecadia who will also be showcasing their offerings.

“Visitors can also look forward to an exciting Easter Trail through the market, with chocolate egg prizes and a chance to win a family pass to WrexSands, happening in August.

“We’re proud to support the growth of markets in Wrexham and bring a modern twist to its market town heritage.

“Our goal is to not only provide a platform for independent businesses but also to contribute to the increase in footfall and vibrancy of our city centre.”

The Wrexham Artisan Market will take place on Queen’s Square on Saturday 30 March between 10am and 4pm.
