The present suggested cuts have been in the pipeline for a long time, how then have the Connect Magazine (45,0000 per year ) and Twinning (9,000 ) survived until now? Prudence over the last two years would have provided a pot of £108,000. Remember anything taken on by your Community Council will be paid for by an increase in the amount of money they charge you on your rating bill. The County Council maybe passing the buck but we the Council Tax Payer will still be picking up the tab !

If you want to make a day of shopping in Wrexham and maybe have lunch or take the children to the cinema a stay of over 4 hours now costs £7 in the Vinci Car Park!

Would the public perceive a category B prison less acceptable than a category C one ?

Just listening to the discussion on Sky News, they are suggesting that there is pressure to re categorised prisoners downwardly due to lack of space in category A and B establishments.

Reports of a riot tonight in HMP Maidstone, a much smaller prison , about 600 , than the one proposed in Wrexham. Something else Wrexham Council need to discuss with the Ministry of Justice , so that all contingencies are prepared for.

I agree about the name ” People’s Market” but what would you change it too?

Cheshire East have a number of car parks ” free after 3pm” on Saturdays up to Christmas. No reply from Vinci about suggestions they might like to offer something to help increase trade in Wrexham. By attracting new customers they might generate more regular ones !

A busy Butchers Market today, lots of atmosphere created by the children making spiders and their chattering parents. Another stall taken over by the Poppy Appeal was also attracting attention together with a couple of new stalls selling pictures and imitation flowers.
