Heard today that Staples in Wrexham will probably close at the end of January 2013.
Its always sad to see a shop close. This will be hard on the employees as its so soon after Christmas.
On a positive note, if staples customers were to shop with me, inkxperts, a local company, maybe I could increase my staff levels then employ some experienced Staples staff member?think local, buy local, be local
Printer ink & toner cartridges in WrexhamYou’re all heart!

We are going a step further – will be next week but as we will have a bigger bandwidth to play with we are going to try and get a live stream up rather than just a picture updating every few minutes :)
Sounds good…
Wrecsam_ladParticipantI’m Thinking of leaving AOL and getting BT Infinity, but it looks a bit pricey.
I understand that it fast fibre optic comes at a price but at £26 a month plus line rental for unlimited, charging line rental on top is a bit greedy I think.
Now my local exchange has fibre optic will other ISP’s provide faster broadband?

Considering that Wrexham is considered to be ‘the finest shopping centre in North Wales’, what a sad, pathetic effort has been made to make the town look ‘festive’.
I walked around the town centre last evening and was dismayed at the poor quality of the light display. Many lights were out and there was no colour, or reference to it being Christmas-time.
The lights are supposed to help people get into a festive and spending mood, but this is unlikely to happen this year.
I do realise that Local Authorities have to be thrifty, but they seem to find the resources that benefit Members (consider the issue of iPads) but that is another story.
Take note WMBC, and particularly the Town Centre Manager. Start making things happen ( not more mobile phone or pound shops) to truly make Wrexham a premier shopping centre. The so called Christmas lights are pathetic. As you say some are off, no sign of colour. It’s depressing and shameful.
There are or will be better light displays around peoples houses, the best one every year is Robinsons from Robinsons garage New Broughton, take a look town centre manager, and take note.
Wrecsam_ladParticipantDon’t know much about any of the candidates only what I’ve seen on wrexham.com, apart from one leaflet through the letter box..
Have these people done any sort of canvassing, knocking on doors and so on ?
Wrecsam_ladParticipantThis site https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html tells me (at the moment) I can only get speeds between 1.5 and 3.5 Mbps  I am getting between 7 and 9Mbps

The excellent websites Samknows and Thinkbroadband both show where the poor broadband areas are in and around Wrexham. It looks like around 12 or so areas are still pretty poor for broadband reception, as I know only too well. Still, lets see how much difference this FTTC makes :-)
I’m getting better speeds than that shows. I live in New Broughton

Wrecsam_ladParticipantWouldn’t that 70 grand a year better to go to pay for a couple of extra cops?
