It’s about creating the illusion of promoting transparency and accountability without the pesky nuisance of actually doing it.

Well, I assume people want all of this, otherwise they wouldn’t vote for the party of austerity – the Conservatives. But by all means, continue to be impressed by daft arguments about how the alternative will transmogrify the UK into Venezuela. It’s the righties who really excel at the old scaremongering.

Devolved responsibility is very convenient during austerity years.

Feeble reasoning, it’s just that they wreck everything. Hospitals, schools, roads, the railways, the whole sorry lot.

There seem to be quite a few red Tories in the Senedd, happy to nod along to Tory austerity.

Looks like the Tory government is doing a great job at the divide and rule trick, getting people to blame foreigners and “scroungers” rather than the Tory government and their austerity and privatisation policies.

I understand that one in six A&Es in England are being closed or downgraded and that will put pressure on the rest, wherever they are. Don’t know about Wales, but it’s Westminster that decide how much money we get. The NHS was in much better shape in 2010.

It’s not true that it can’t be an emergency if you leave after some hours waiting. A suspected retinal detachment or aggressive diabetic foot infection are two examples. The problem is that people are not doctors and the Tory government defunding the NHS.
