    What has heroism got to do with this? Where is the element of bravery? We have homeless people and empty properties – what we need is common sense …

    Misguided or not, the fact remains that, in the past, schools were kept open and teachers, doctors, nurses and all other public officials somehow kept everything working. Are you blaming Health & Safety for the changes?

    I always got to school in Wrexham, travelling from outside of Rossett by bike and bus. Not going was never an option. It also puzzles me how many parents now have four-wheel-drive vehicles, but they seem to be the first to bale out in the bad weather.
