It is believed a member of staff at a local care home only worked 1 day during the qualifying period for eligibility decided to self isolate and protect their family.

Morally shouldn’t have taken the payment, didn’t earn it, work colleagues having to cover there absence, but broke there own self isolating rules to make sure they got it.

And I hope they enjoy there holiday in Spain next week. Wonder if they spare a thought for the ex employees

Feedback from the lads carrying out the work is that they are way over budget and are cutting back on the work i.e. they are going to stop putting new doors up and not going to refurbish the downstairs toilet. They are rushing the job and quality of the finish is awful, runs on the paintwork, new light switches and fittings covered in paint and plaster, the list goes on. I was told ‘I was getting it done for free’ but that is no excuse.

Just the fact that the majority of the contractors work is so shoddy and sub standard
