binned spam

Lol! Spam bot gets A+ for having their finger on the pulse. So let me get this straight (yes, I was sad enough to click through so they’ve probably achieved some kind of goal) – People who write essays based in Australia, so that British students can cheat, like to fly all the way over here just so that they can partake in a bit of illegal camping in Garden Village?
MattParticipant
What’s all the fuss? This will bring jobs and diversity to the area, along with much needed affordable housing.
I’m not trolling seriously! This seems to be the voice of reason.

You have a borderline chance on here, if you have a voice of reason. Put similar views across to the Wrexham.com Facebook comments mob – no chance – it’s a bit like on the original Wicker Man.

MattParticipant
Yer, good point Matt, give me a spaced out spiced up Zombie any day!
Perhaps we could send them on tour on the new fleet of busses.
MattParticipantWait, so people are forever complaining that South Wales & Cardiff gets all the investment & Wrexham & the North gets ignored by the Assembly & now there’s complaints over them trying to ‘sneak’ a new train station into the area, which counts as a transport infrastructure upgrade and now people don’t want that.
Then there’s the fact that Wrexham is already a commuter town anyway and a new bunch of professionals & families working out of town earning money in big cities from higher paid jobs, then spending it in Wrexham is a net wealth increase to the local economy. Ergo more chance of new businesses/shops opening up and new public services due to increased requirements. But no, none of this is allowed because a small minority of people aren’t actually legally allowed to be happy about anything.

MattParticipant
It doesn’t help Wrexham shops when people who live on the Chester side of town (Gresford, Marford etc) can get a nice shiney bus to do their shopping in Chester. It is a good service but not really helpful to the town in general.
People who want to get a bus to Chester are going to get one no matter what, you can’t force them to shop in town just because they don’t have a car. A new bus service is equally going to benefit Wrexham town centre as much as it will Chester.
When I used to live that end of town I always used the service & it was quick & mostly reliable to get into town. Lots of people just want to do a quick shop & pop into Wrexham & not have to deal with the whole hassle of Chester. Too much traffic & then pissed up thugs on race day.
Wrexham town centre is in need of improvement, but transport infrastructure spend will definitely help.
MattParticipant
Denying it just makes it more true.
Tell me Matt, do you like Gladiator movies?
I like the one where everyone booed that Wolf fella with their giant foam hands.
MattParticipantHaha, sadly I am not the Matt Black who has now been hyped up in ways only the internet can deliver. I’m sure he’s either made it to the big-time and is sticking up 2 fingers at the world who cruelly misunderstood him at school whilst sipping some variety of gin & juice/Jack on the rocks or whatever it is the cool kids drink these days, or is lurking on these forums as we speak, thinking – someone remembers me!
Thread derailment completed.

Stunning comeback Welshman, really cut Huw dead in his tracks!
I’ve just worked everything out! This is basically the plot to Terminator 2. Should have known from the numbers in the names all along.
Daave63 has been sent back in time to help rid us of the evil tyrant of the Wrexham.com forum welshman1000 whose ‘The damaged road bridge’ thread title thoroughly misleads, as it sounds like the title to a Nicholas Sparks charity shop knock-off novel. I thought we were starting a book club.
Now my only concern is that in the film it was a T-800 vs a T-1000. 63 to 1000 is quite a difference – Daave, can you either confirm or deny that you are actually just an elaborate vacuum cleaner?

MattParticipantNope, having an absolutely splendid time thanks.

MattParticipantBloody hell, people are still talking about Atkinson. Election is over and he’s now lost 3 times in Wrexham, but it sounds like he has got a boat-load of free publicity for his window cleaning business. Time for the Tories to wheel out someone else if they ever expect to have any shout in Wrexham.
