Funnily enough I don’t class myself as a numpty or a clown and my loyalties lie with my workmates, I can’t comment on your work area but in mine we have very good experienced men, agency workers who by the way are very good at their jobs and are worthy of full time employment, also polish guys , who also work well and intergrate well in the team, if as you say comments are being made to the polish workers my question is why has it not been reported to management, if it is personal opinion then this is just that, my point about rigid time keeping is more about time off rather than actual time as long as you arrive before the buzzer there’s no problem, arriving an hour early will sadly not win anyone employee of the month, some agency workers take days off as routine they only got rid of one lad after nine days absence in a short period of months if you where in charge would you accept that? you seem to generalise everybody as all bad, I am not in anyway superior to lads I work with, I beg to differ about agency workers, as in life there are good and bad, some may well work their ass off but there are some that would rather sit on it, finally if what you say is fact we the full time staff are racist, numptys, clowns, and whatever else you would like to call us and good lads have moved on to full time employment , why do you still work there?

I too work at IWT and after reading some of the posts on the forum feel I must reply, some mention lads talking in Welsh , remember this is there first language and it is common practice for them to converse in Welsh, i am Welsh and wish I could join in the conversation but at no time do I have any problem with it. Another post talks about racism I think the term is xenophobia and I have never seen evidence of any form of it, to say we the full time staff are treated as gods is laughable I think this is jealousy at the fact we had a bonus at Christmas and agency workers didn’t, in fact we the full time staff are subjected to stricter absentee rules than agency lads ,some of the agency lads have had far more days off than us and are still in work, it seems boxcleva is trying to create a them and us mentality which is not so , you also forgot to mention iwt have taken lads on over the last three years and as far as I know have not said there are no full time jobs in the future, sure it’s not everyones cup of tea due to the rigid time keeping rules but please give a balanced view.
