Dylan Jones has some really valid points and views, most of which I would agree is on target. This situation does worry me tho’ – as sometimes what appears overwhelmingly obvious, can mislead one from another reality. I am still seriously bothered that ‘unelected’ people referred to at the outset, – have been somewhat ‘integrated ‘ into the Labour ‘scrum.’ What bothers me…where are these unelected people now. Firth columnists..?
Are they amongst the 13 – or maybe the 10?

Then there is the non-elected element outside the 23…how many are they….?

What is it that has caused 10…historically genuinely decent people…to embark on such an extreme action. Let us stop at that point. …Why?…dedicated Labour people…there has to be a catalyst somewhere? Could we be looking at the whole thing back to front?…that the problem rests with the 13…NOT the 10? A question NOT a statement!

You have hit the nail on the head Liam. Un-elected, toxic with their own private agendas. They care not for anything or anyone .They are few, and have no native affinity with this area or this country.

Cllr Rogers’s statement mentions elected AND non-elected negative influences.
How can ANY committee/public body function if unelected people have an input.
I wonder has Cllr Rogers tried to save face and not disclose Cllr King ‘s performance and behaviour inadequacies earlier? Heard someone say Cllr King lives outside the Wrexham area but elected as it his place of work. To me that suggests he contributes no council tax to the Council’s coffers. Perhaps he has no real affinity for the area…no school ties for his children maybe? No personal social ties ? Just a job to him?…Always seemed a nice man tho’?

Reading the WL article I couldn’t help but pick up on Cllr King’s own remark that…”politics is rarely about what the public is told…” That is a most interesting two-edged remark. Might there be political in-fighting, Cllr Arfon Jones in his excellent letter to the Daily Post is implying there are political and personal scores being activated. If so there will doubtless be further blood-letting?

Has anybody a view on Mr King being removed as lead member.
During the last months we have seen a media blitz with regard to council officials not fulfilling their obligations to report allegations raised to them for further investigation.
Rotherham, Rochdale, and elsewhere in particular.

Without knowing the full circumstances, and being sure this nothing to do with child abuse enquiries, historical or otherwise, is it not brave in the extreme to remove a council leader for grasping the nettle and publicly voicing concerns expressed to him.

Hasn’t Mr King in this instance simply acted correctly, albeit that the allegations prove unfounded or are found unproven. Naturally staff on the receiving end will be ” upset “, but if Mr King had not acted Wrexham could be in the media yet again in relation to children and their care.

It seems like some kind of night of the long knives scenario ?
