D RKeymasterAs you might expect there has been a few questions about the bus station – two questions about safety here:
Karl – Would he/her feel comfortable taking their kids to the bus station ? If not why?
Michaela – For 12 months my daughter travelled by bus to Wrexham to get the connection to her place of work, I am horrified and what I have seen on tonight’s news..
The drug issue really needs sorting. Put the fag end situation on hold and deal with this. It’s awful

D RKeymasterNot town centre specifically, but a wider question through about policing in the villages across Wrexham:
The main issue is not the town centre. It’s burglary armed theft and arson. Why isn’t there a greater Police presence in the villages and towns estates?

D RKeymasterNext question is from Matthew and is about homelessness in Wrexham:
Over the last 2 years the number of homeless has risen! They are begging persistently surely they should be barred from sleeping in the town centre we need more homeless centres?
Is is this begging and congregating in large numbers in shop doorways not North Wales Police problem?

D RKeymasterAnother one for Inspector Wycherley – this question is from an anonymous reader!
Can he get the phone boxes between Hays Travel and RBS removed? I have to sit and watch drug deals going down everyday in them and I’m sick of ringing the police. I’ve never seen so many people in a single phone box.

D RKeymasterQuestion / statement in about PCSOs…
There may be a call in the Town Centre for PCSOs during daylight hours. However, PCSOs walking around local villages in two’s in daylight hours, to my mind does not threaten the burglary brigade.
To me a far better use could be made of PCSO by them working nights instead of days.
I do not know the stats but I presume more break ins etc take place under cover of darkness.
Your thoughts?

D RKeymasterQuestion through specifically for Inspector Wycherley –
Regarding the bus station have the police ever issued any security advice to improve the area to the council?
And After Operation Glare tram are you satisfied with the councils measures to keep the bus station drug and antisocial free?

D RKeymasterA similar idea for Henblas Street has been batted around by the Town Centre Forum over the past few months: https://www.wrexham.com/news/plans-to-tackle-vacant-properties-attract-independent-retailers-to-the-town-centre-111176.html
D RKeymasterDid state in earlier post that it was a message passed to us from Wrexham Council – so we came about the statement after it was passed to us from Wrexham Council this afternoon!
