If there was still the catchment area ruling with schools then 350 houses being built would be a serious issue .But because you can virtually send you kids anywhere these days, anyone moving into this area would probably keep there kids at there previous school, if logistics and circumstances allow.
My wife used to be a receptionist at a local doctors and knows at first hand that people can’t be bothered to change doctors when they move .
As to whether Llay would cope with 350 houses ,it probably would ,just take a look at the village of Farndon , that at the moment is expanding rather quickly with more houses in the pipeline !

My daughter has just left home, and now lives on the border of her doctors catchment area and has been told to find another doctor. She doesn’t have a choice she has to change.

Apparently they want 10 flats, a restaurant and takeaway and only 6 parking spaces for the flats.

It would be better if there was a dedicated drop off point where the older children could be dropped off and left instead of parents hanging around until the bell goes. It is really only the very young who need their parents hanging around for any length of time.

I think if children are safely on the school premises they is no need for parents to hang around.

People were talking about this on Facebook the other day and everyone keeps mentioning taking the kids out of school for holiday. This has nothing to do with kids going on holiday in term time and everything to do with kids who don’t go to school and the school are not informed. This is what is an unauthorised absence. When you take your kids out for holiday, you usually tell the school, which means it’s authorised.

Quite frankly I thought this already existed anyway, along with a possible prison term for parents if kids completely refuse to go to school.

Not all parents get permission to take children out for holidays, some are refused but still take them.

I think the Ruabon bridge works are taking so long, is because they messed up first time round.

The story I have heard is the crown buildings are coming down and the bus station is moving there. something to do with excessive rents on King street.

I posted this on another thread about a month ago.
