It is NOT perfectly ok to not use the cycle lanes or the roads. It is illegal to ride on pavements

You MUST NOT cycle on a pavement.
    Laws HA 1835 sect 72 & R(S)A 1984, sect 129

Maybe bicycle riders need to realise they do no not own the pavements. Pavements are NOT there for ALL to use, so do not attempt to share.

They don’t follow this one either so there we go:

You MUST obey all traffic signs and traffic light signals.

I like the cyclists and pedestrians who are dressed all in black with no lights who frequent the Cefn Road. It makes them a bit more challenging to run over.

Speed camera’s and speed limits do not stop bad driving.

Maybe a CCTV camera with recording would be better and next time it happens (there will be a next time). Whoever causes the crash can be prosecuted accordingly.

I also think that a one-way system on this road is a stupid idea. Anyone remember the one-way trial under Stansty bridge ? Total disaster and the only people who couldn’t see it coming were the council.

There are several issues which seem quite obvious to me:

    * Cars are more likely to speed down the road if it’s one-way, as there’s no oncoming traffic to worry about
    * Some cars which can no longer go in one direction may use Poyser Street instead, which just happens to have SCHOOL ENTRANCES on, along with a lot of houses
    * Other surrounding streets, such as Bradley Road and Ruabon Road/Pen-y-Bryn, which are already extremely busy will just become busier

Sounds like common sense to me, maybe that’s why we don’t work for the council.

I have nothing but praise for the front line staff at the hospital, as they do an amazing job, which I’ve had 1st hand experience of. I do however have a lot less respect for the management and government and their targets and profit.
The rules should be tightened with regards to Triage and people should also take some responsibility and think do they actually need to go to ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY

Triage should be increased to turn away people who shouldn’t be there.

If you are drunk or on drugs and you don’t have a life threatening injury, you get sent home, if you have something you can treat yourself, you get sent home, if you have a problem your GP can sort, you get sent home or to out of hours.

Making the road one way does not resolve the issue as you will still have larger vehicles struggling to get past because of inconsiderate parking. In addition you just make other roads busier.
I take it the road will be one way towards Pen-y-Bryn. This means extra traffic at the ruabon road roundabout, which is already busy at peak times.
Why don’t the people who make these decisions listen to the people who use and live on the road.
