Crewe has had an interesting renaming.

Ah yes, clearway signs, makes sense.

I can’t see why they might be needed on a dual carriageway though, then again I’ve seen people walking home along the new link road!

This morning I saw the fine art of “Cone curling” in which a guy on one side of the road throws cones to the other side, whilst cars approach! Every one I saw slid to a halt right at the far side!

It could be new signage? Lane guidance signs maybe? Noticed the cones are on the Westbound side.

Remember school starts next week. It will be a true reflection of the new roads ability to handle the traffic well.

Wasn’t there development approved on the beer garden/car park? I wouldn’t be surprised if the pub was then converted.

Didn’t the council want to demolish it many years ago, along with the Travellers and other buildings on that side to enable the dual carriageway to be built up to where Matalan is now? I heard the petrol station owner purposefully rebuilt his station away from the road to allow for it, then they gave up!

Now the old dual carriageway is bus lanes and residential parking.

How strange; there were many on the Industrial estate today as well; hundreds on the floor just moving around outside the nests.

I believe there is a temporary 40 because of construction traffic leaving Welsh Water’s upgrade works in the area. There were 40 signs as you approach town near the junction with Redwither lane. Because of the new road I don’t go that way anymore.

We’ve had a few closures in the past year, but I don’t think there’s been a 27% decrease in businesses! There is still a fall in shoplifting which is a good thing.

Getting to work is now a really smooth job. A few people just don’t know which lane to get in. The council should really put down white arrows on approach to roundabouts or a get in lane sign or two.

Unfortunately, while the westbound is still down to one lane, it’s a pain to get out of the estate! At least on the north road.

With Redwither Business Park they still need to find a new bank tenant for the old NatWest unit in Redwither Tower. It closed last year, but it had the worst opening times of 11am-2pm! Three hours a day is crazy, and it was quite well used!
