During the Falklands war just over 900 lost their lives. The war in Afghanistan has over 3000 solidiers lives lost but no one has any idea about civilians.

I never agreed with her policies but now she’s dead I think we should let her rest in peace. The country will need someone new to hate now.

With all respect to what you saying, she was not a good politician and I will never consider her as one.

she’s the Blair type on the other side of the river, both thought they will be in power forever until been got rid off by their own parties.

I think the Soviet journalist who called her the “Iron Lady” did not know what a lady is..he is more familiar with iron though..I wonder what nickname he would give to Cameron!

Even after all this time Margaret Thatcher invokes some strong reaction. Some of the comments I have read about her death in the media and social networks have been really nasty. Male politicians make decisions just as bad as any of Thatchers but they don’t seem to attract the same level of hatred. Is it because she was a strong willed woman? Any party leader needs to be strong but in Thatchers case it seems she was viewed as cold and heartless because of her strength.

Her children have lost their mother and that hurts no matter what age the children are.

Could you please justify this point, and if you don’t mind give an example.

they say inflation since 1979 is 385% or in other words, prices are almost 5 times as much.

Brilliant Prime Minister. The most difficult task for any Prime Minister is to manage change when the back cloth is difficult. In her case she straddled the era between the old industries declining and the new industries rising. It seems odd that people prefer to roll out this simple nonsense about Thatcher killing off the Coal industry, for example, than to deal with the facts. The facts, of course, relate to the rise of Gas and Electric fires, Central heating, the availability in the EEC of cheap coal, and so on.

Recent surveys have shown that per capita incomes have doubled since the 1970’s in Britain, much of this fact due to the transformation of the country

social democrats in Sweden 1970 GNI $36 Billion
still social democrats in Sweden 1989 GNI $203 Billion
and again still social democrats in Sweden 2011 GNI $549 Billion

    Nothing really in that article.

Proposals put forward by the higher education funding council would see Glyndwr pooled into an umbrella group managed by Aberystwyth and Bangor universities.

But the plans have been shelved pending the results of a Welsh Government review, chaired by former Glamorgan vice-chancellor Sir Adrian Webb.

The review panel was given until April to submit its findings, which could involve local further education colleges and merger partners Deeside and Yale.

Well, it wont exist but it still, it wont vanish, still business as usual I guess,

    soon we will find out..

great idea. I can’t see why any education establishment wouldn’t want to be apart of something like this?

When you look at some things like the Focus Festival, the wrexham supporters’ organisations, saith seren or even the international music festival at Llangollen, there is a huge scope for things within wrexham. Wrexham has a great collection of doers, it just needs a few dreamers to inspire them.

Glyndwr has too many things to worry about at the moment, its existence is on the top of them.

Make sure it isn’t disconnecting intermittently (or being turned off at all). BT’s equipment at the exchange is designed to force your speed down if it detects problems (in an attempt to stabilise the line), and constant disconnections either through fault or turning off the equipment, even once or twice a day, are a symptom it recognises.

We had a similar problem; they sent out a BT engineer who found out the wire connection to the house (up the ladder!) was faulty. He tightened it up and phoned the exchange to reset the equipment. This was free of charge after a phonecall to Sky.

However my Aunt used to turn off her modem/router whenever she wasn’t using the internet; unsuprisingly as a result, she had unbearably slow internet!

To be fair, in the end it was not BT’s fault, it just a digisender I bought the other week but I did not use that often, Argos said the £100 digisender will not interfere with the wireless signal, but it ridiculously did.
all back to normal once the digisender is switched off.
