Wrexham.com have reported that the company to install windows at the new Wrexham prison is to employ 10 people for the installation work. Caledonian Windows are based in Ayr in Scotland. It was previously stated that a great deal of work at the new prison would be done by using local labour.
Why do we have to go as far as Scotland to award this contract when there are a great number of window manufacturers closer to home which would would have provided an in increase in local employment at the manufacturing process.
