Carwyn Jones comments on the NHS in Wales ,

” On a failure to hit key targets for the NHS, he said: “I don’t buy this idea that somehow the NHS in Wales is failing.

“I don’t think that’s correct and the vast majority of people in Wales we know have a good experience from the NHS.

“But yes there’s always room for improvement.” “

Perhaps our AM Lesley Griffiths should invite him to visit Wrexham, so he can see first hand the problem of ambulances waiting outside A&E.

A statistic revealed on the Midlands news last night was that an ambulance is called to Oakwood prison almost daily , in the region of 350 times last year. This will add additional pressure to our already stretched ambulance service and A&E if the same happens here in the Wrexham prison. There are more implications for the community here in Wrexham beyond just have the building located here.

If the NHS in Wales is not failing, then why have all non-essential operations been cancelled?
