Anyone know why there has been a temporary speed limit on on the B5102 (Llay Rd), from the A483 junction towards the Straight mile?

There have been temporary speed limit signs on this stretch for several months. There are no road works or any other reason for this. Is the council in the process of making this permanent? Not sure how legitimate it is to have temporary limits for such a long time without any obvious reason.

Probably tied in with the roadworks at the end of the A483. When they close the junction at night that’s the diversion..

Wrexham CBC seems to have declared independence of the rest of the country as regards speed limits. Every road under their control which had a national speed limit has had it reduced to 50 mph except, puzzlingly, for ‘B’ roads!! This has brought about ridiculous situations such as being able to travel at a faster speed legally up Summerhill Road than on the dual carriageway along Mold Road. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this, or are Wrexham CBC just anti motorist?

The speed limit signs travelling from Llay towards town are a joke. In the space of 1 mile from the edge of Llay to just before the turning for Pandy you have the following pattern:

    30 to 50, 50 to 40, 40 to 50 & 50 to 30.

Don’t know why they couldnt just make the whole stretch 40.
