Oh I like a nice shank. Sometimes it’s a ham shank and sometimes a lamb shank. I used to get them from the butchers at the top of the market hall steps, but if I can get them at the bus station, well it saves me the mobility scooter ride down town. Do they sell dried peas as well? I like a nice pea and ham broth as well.

That’s the nicest thing you ever said to me Daave63. I’ll see you in the Long Pull Wednesday afternoon as usual. Sanatogen all round!

Who’s for a Border barley in The Raglan then?

I think I only ever went in the Raglan once, I was scared for my life!!!

Unlike that genteel watering hole “the long pull”, where Daave63 behaved disgracefully yesterday shoutin’ and cussin’ and fightin’. I sipped my whitesnake and cask sherry cocktail and left promptly.
