At a time when the city is expanding and our industrial estate is getting bigger , there are plans to reduce our permanently manned fire engines to one !

We have a newly built fire station but no money to keep two permanently manned engines. Isn’t the minimum response to house fires two engines or has that also been changed ?

Our Fire Service does so much more than fight fires, last week they supported those who were flooded and attended road traffic accidents to rescue the injured.

Is there really no alternative ?

9.9% increase in the fire levy and all to receive less back.

Council have being similar for decades. As do the government.

Why do we keep paying more to receive less? Where does all the money go?
