I find it quite disturbing that a commercial organisation (Wrexham FC) is resorting to a sponsored parachute jump to raise funds for the club.

I have always believed that sponsored events were there for raising money for good causes ie. those that have little or no income from other sources.
Wrexham FC does not, by any stretch of the imagination, fall neatly into that category.
If they need to generate a greater income, they should provide the goods that will increase the numbers passing through the turnstiles week in week out.

Where will it end? Will it be Saith Seren next week or the man in the little corner shop who’s sales are down?

It may well be that the persons doing the parachute jump are doing it off their own bat. They may well support other charities. It is their decision who they support. For goodness sake GET A LIFE

Club Director, Commercial Manager and others? Does that sound like ‘off their own bat’? Hmmmmm!

That is their choice, the club is fan owned, and they are fans. The club depends on fundraisers as well as other means of raising income. Why not?
