What exactly is the problem with the system and now long will it take to fix? Why wasn’t it publicised that the system would not be working at tonight planning meeting ?

Why couldn’t they just put out at least a Twitter feed or had the whole of the Council IT system fail. If the WiFi was still working why could one of the Councilors use there Ipad to broadcast or at east film the proceedings for future broadcast. May not be same quality but would have been worth the effort to have something rather than nothing.
Looks to me as they 1) didn’t book a staff member to work or 2) There is no longer anyone in the Council IT Department that can think outside of the box to find a solution.
Will be interesting to see if the Council inform the public what the actual issue was, when it was identified and when will it be fixed.

A tweet was put out on the council website at 4:53pm. Luckily we spotted it last minute and one of us managed to pop down! Although there didn’t seem to be any member of staff there to live tweet the meeting – looking at the feed now there aren’t any meeting related tweets on there aside from the info about the meeting being off.

The reason given for the meeting being off was due to a problem with the system. Will pop some queries in tomorrow to find out what was at fault and if it will be back up for next week’s Exec Board :)

Just to add – it didn’t look as though the meeting was being recorded either as generally there are two / three members of staff on computers monitoring the live updates, but nothing of such tonight. So imagine there is no copy of this evening’s meeting.

And if the BBC, or ITV, or SKY did not appear on screen

And if the British Parliament decided to sit in secret

Interesting decision regarding Rhosrobin houses. I wonder if they rejected it because they know the WAG will likely overturn their decision, making them the bad guys?

Going against the planning inspectors recommendation just seems like ammo for an inspector in Cardiff.

The rejection of the Rhosrobin houses is laying politics as stated this will no doubt get referred to WG. WG will have little choice but to say yes unless there is a real basis under planning regulations to reject the application. This just shows how Wrexham Council Members are using this to blame the WG for a decision.

Told today that the webcast system broke late on – and requires people to come in and fix it. Would point to non-trivial issue, and I would guess that the people coming in are part of any support agreement etc.
