40 years ago, cultural establishments such as ‘Minsky’s’ and ‘The Coal Ole’ in Abbot St and of course ‘Wasps’ in Chester St won the title of ‘Sitges Of The North’ for Wrexham.
Halcyon days they were, the town was famous far and wide thanks to the ‘Gunnings’, ‘Birchalls’ and ‘Bagnalls’, halcyon days indeed for those of us who remember them and also intellectual giants such as ‘Martin Ould’ and ‘Martin Lloyd’ who brought such colour to our once great town.[quote quote=97963]Au contraire, Bish me auld fruit.
