This is about the people we love, and in times of crisis and ill health, we don’t want to lose. Facilities like the Maelor have an excellent record of providing care if they are properly resourced and can focus on the patient. The health service in North Wales is £50m out (short / in deficit; and this will probably get worse), needs that extra cash from somewhere; these things don’t just happen, this has been a growing problem for a long time, and nothing has been done about it, hence this report.
We do not want to lose the people we love. In any time of crisis, and not being able to afford to provide the right care, is a crisis – we work night and day to resolve the problem. Just as with a train crash, or the banking crash, this needs attention day and night until we can have confidence that our health service in North Wales is properly secure, and can look after the people we love.
