Island Green talks still being pursued after Euro Car Parks ‘bottle’ key meeting

If Euro Car Parks can’t be bothered to attend meetings with our elected representatives, then they should have their contract torn up!

Who actually owns the Island Green car park? if its not Euro Car Parks, can anyone find out how long the contract is for? can the contract be terminated? its the only way companies listen. If Euro Car Parks actually own the car park, then can the Council force then to fix the issue or Fine them? Do Councils actually have any power?

We should Name & shame the Car Park owners, they must be able to Demand a Meeting if Not Euro Car Parks?

It’s got nothing to do with the council. Why would they want to attend a meeting with the council? What’s in it for them?

One of the only thing that would act as a lever would be if all the companies running the actual shops complained to the landlord with a threat to leave (if they could find a cluse in their lease agreement). Why would the car park company engage with politicians or the Council it is a private service on private land. If the machines are charging incorrectly then a consumer has the right to refuse payment, make an offer to the company to pay the actual amount and then wait. They cant take a someone who has not paid their fixed penalty if issued for an incorrect amount- force them into court claim.
