Is this simply a marketing ploy to gain self publicity prior to Mayoral nominations? It’s just so ludicrous, it’s downright annoying.
WCBC are increasing our Council Tax to cover the services they provide us. BUT they’re reducing the services they currently provide such as grass cutting and then try and have us believe this is a considered option that will be good for the flowers and bees.
Perhaps the deputy mayor (in waiting) would like to comment on the investigation carried out by the Council 4/5 years ago which looked at converting Council buildings to use Bio instead of Fossil Fuels. It was rejected. He was a member of WCBC then so should remember it well. It would have helped the environment much, much more than letting the grass grow.
