I see that the future of building code named 67 has been set to be demolished under part 2 of a secret session of the council executive. What concerns me is that (A) The decision was taken in secret thus preventing discussion on the merits of retaining the building and its historic past. (2) The more important fact that the executive of the council can make a secret decision on future aspects of the town with out consultation either within the council or the people of area at large.

I’ve come to this news story a bit late. So could someone tell me why the decision to demolish a building needs to be taken in secret? I can sort of understand if there is a third party commercial interest in a development, but a demolition?
