A Wrexham.com reader got in touch to point us towards a YouTube video of old Wrexham buses, which on first glance does not sound that interesting!

Digging deeper it appears that as part of a promotion to sell DVD copies of historic buses a selection of old videos from in the town has appeared online as a set.

Although quite bus heavy in content due to their subject matter the videos show areas of the town, unsurprisingly the main focus being the old bus station!

Several Wrexham companies can be seen driving around, we spotted a Regent House of Flowers van and a TE Roberts van driving past. Similarly on Regent Street the Early Learning Centre, Colorvison and other shops can still be seen.

Around two minutes into the video from 1992 the sounds of a ‘Vote For John Marek This Thursday’ megaphone can be heard, and later a wonderful orange Ford Capri is cruising through town.

Let us know by tweeting @wrexham , on our Facebook page, or on the Wrexham.com Forums what you spot!

If you have enjoyed this selection you may like the ‘Welcome To Wrexham 1989 Video’ which can be found by clicking here, or for something more modern this mini series when Wrexham featured on ‘Booze Britain!’
