Wrexham Carnival of Words – Red Planet Dreams

Location: St. Giles Church, Wrexham

Date / Time: 22 April – 7pm

Prices: £5

Award-Winning Welsh science fiction author, Alastair Reynolds, will take you on a journey to Mars, telling yarns about the way the Red Planet has been imagined by scientists and authors alike. But this is also about the new dream, the possibilities that Mars offers us for the future – perhaps within our own lifetimes – and the way in which science fiction is playing leapfrog with science fact.

Bydd awdur ffuglen wyddonol mwyaf llwyddiannus Cymru, Alastair Reynolds, yn mynd â chi ar daith i’r blaned Mawrth, gan adrodd straeon am y ffordd mae’r Blaned Goch wedi cael ei dychmygu gan wyddonwyr ac awduron fel ei gilydd. Ond ceir hanes y freuddwyd newydd, y posibiliadau sydd gan y blaned Mawrth i’w cynnig yn y dyfodol – efallai yn ein hoes ein hunain – a’r ffordd mae ffuglen wyddonol yn neidio dos ffeithiau gwyddonol.
