FRIDAY 15th
International Students Rugby League 4 Nations tournament reaches its climax at Glyndwr Uni Racecourse today – Scotland v Ireland at 5pm and the title decider between Wales & England KO at 7pm. Both Wales and England have given strong and impressive performances over the week and the grand finale should prove a high scoring demonstration of excellent rugby league.

SATURDAY 16th
Garden Village Playgroup – Wat’s Dyke Way
Garden Village Playgroup have Psychic Jon Scotland joining them for an evening of “Past life regressions and Derren Brown style psychic games!”. There will be opportunities for 1~2~1 readings after the demonstration. Tickets are just £5. There will be a licensed bar. Doors open 7pm, demonstration begins 7.30pm. Friday 22nd
St Margaret’s Church in Garden Village is holding it’s Summer Fair on Friday the 22nd of June.

Come and have a go on a swing boat or treat yourself to a strawberry tea. Aswell as all the usual stalls selling cakes, second hand books dvd’s etc, there’ll also be a chocolate fondue, aromatherapy and massage, jewellery and plants, aswell as favourites like the teddy tombola and raffle.

3.30- 6.30pm. Everyone welcome.

Redcoats Against Napolean – A lecture by Carol Divall
Carole Divall has devoted many years of painstaking research into telling the story of Thomas Atkins, the ordinary British soldier, during the Napoleonic campaigns, with a particular emphasis on the 30th Regiment of Foot. She has become a much sought-after speaker on this subject and the Friends of Wrexham Museums lecture gives the people of the Wrexham area a rare opportunity to hear her speak on their own doorstep. The lecture has been organised by the Friends of Wrexham Museums, a registered charity aimed at assisting with the preservation and presentation of all aspects of the history and culture of Wrexham County Borough.
