A Wrexham community are making final preparations for their annual village festival.

The Rossett Village Festival takes place this Saturday (27th August) between 12.30pm and 5pm at Darland High School.

Wrexham’s Assembly Member Lesley Griffiths will be in attendance and is encouraging as many people as possible to support the festival.

Activities on the day include the Festival Dog Show, Kit Car Rally, Children’s entertainers, face painting and bouncy castles.

People can enjoy the Burton & Rossett Horticultural Society Annual Show and there will be craft and food fayres with local craftspeople and businesses, as well as demonstrations from local clubs and organisations.

Licensed refreshments as well as candy floss and ice cream will also be available.

Profits from the festival go towards local community causes, including the Rossett Christmas Tree and maintaining the Scout Hut roof.

Lesley Griffiths AM said: “The Rossett Village Festival is always a lovely event, with plenty of fun-filled activities for all the family to enjoy.”

“The volunteers work so hard for their community and come rain or shine, I hope local residents come out and support the event.”
