Details: Wrexham Community Choir is delighted to welcome the fabulous Simply Soweto Encha to Wrexham on 6th October for a singing workshop and performance at the Wrexham Methodist Church.

Simply Soweto Encha is a five-piece a cappella group that sing gospel, soul, jazz, doo-wop, and R’n’B both in African and popular styles. In their shows, Simply Soweto Encha celebrate South African oral and dance traditions by performing Zulu, Xhosa, Tswana and Swahili songs.

Dumi, Jabu, Morgan, Lwazi, and Sbu come from the South African township of Soweto and their performances have been awarded with numerous awards, including the Spirit of Edinburgh & Buxton Fringe, Brighton Fringe Best Performance, Trigon Jazz Festival Best Vocal Group and The Show of 2014 Birmingham Festival.
